The Indoor Slo-Pitch League Bat Policy 2005 Like most associations the Indoor Winter League will follow the standards as set out by the ASA Bat Certification Program for legal bats used in all league and tournament games. It is each player's responsibility to check the ASA website at the beginning and at least once, half way through the season for new updates. The bat program is not static and retesting is continuous throughout the season. Your bat may pass now and fail later. Make absolutely sure your bat remains on the the approved bat list. If it is not on the approved list it can't be used. The only exception is, all wooden softball bats are legal and do not require approval. Bats with the 2004 certifications can be used, but his may change. The Indoor League reserves the right to add bats to the Non-approved bat list. Check with the ump. The complete details of the ASA policy including an up-to-date Non-Approved Bats list and Approved Bats lists, by single manufacturer or collectively can be found on the website. Scroll down the page a bit and follow the drop down dialog box listing bats and balls. Click here http://www.softball.org/about/certified_equipment.asp
