Youth Criminal Justice Act The Softball society join hands to petition for a change in the Youth Criminal Justice Act and seek your help. Toronto, Dawes and Danforth Rd area 2005: Jonathan, a frail lad of 12 years was stabbed 22 times and brutally murdered by his brother and friends who planned for no reason at all, to murder the whole family and nearly succeeded in killing the step father on the same day. These intentional acts of, just for kicks, violence appears to be on the increase and the public finds much fault with youths hiding behind the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is felt that the leniency of the protection provided by the act invites a safe haven for youth to experiment with crime rather than protecting the rights of society as a whole. Although there are many instances of these violent youth crimes we draw your attention to a recent Kitchener case and the attempt of parents seeking your help, to change the youth act, under the banner of - Justice for Dustin. Please review the links below to see how you can help.
Kitchener Area 2006 As many of you know my step son was murdered by a young offender almost 2 months ago now. FYI - the young offender who did this freely walks the streets today showing absolutely no remorse for what he's done, disobeying his bail order and laughing at the system every step of the way. Only the people of Canada can do something to change this! Please speak out and let your voices be heard! Now we need your help ... Many people asked at the time Dustin was murdered what they could do to help and I told everyone I'd let them know. Please check out the attached links and forward them to everyone in your contact list and ask them to do the same. The word needs to keep spreading about what a joke the Youth Criminal Justice Act is and the government needs to know that the public wants it changed. Our local MP is trying to help with a petition on his website and we are doing all we can to spread the word. Your help is appreciated more than words can say!
Please check out:
Thank you all so much for your help,
Brad
