Scarborough over 55 Competitive Slo-pitch League

The league, was founded by Duane Richards in May 1998
and reached its 10 yr historical plateau in 2007. It all started
with just a bunch of guys (largely from the SSSPL, a seniors
day league) who wanted some extra and perhaps a higher
level of softball. It grew from there and soon a 4 team league
formed. These same 4 teams exist today:
Scarborough Navy. Scarborough Reds, Markham Blue and the
Sons-of-Beaches. You can find team photos throughout the

Duane Richards was the league's President for the first
11 years and through 2008 and 2009 he phased in
Wayne Crowley for that position.
The league plays every Sunday morning from May through September and is a
men's league for those 55 yr and older.
